Chief of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ramiz Mehdiyev had a meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergey Naryshkin

Chief of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan and his Russian counterpart Sergey Naryshkin held a meeting in the Presidential Palace.

During the meeting, the sides discussed relations between the relevant institutions of the two states, following the Humanitarian Forum organized in Baku in January of the current year with the initiative of Presidents Ilham Aliyev and Dmitry Medvedev. Views were exchanged on some organizational issues and details of their implementation, as per initiatives of the presidents for regular organization and holding of such forum in a format of International Humanitarian Forum.

During the talks, it was decided that the forum would be held annually in September, in Baku, under the title of “Baku International Humanitarian Forum”, with participation of well-known scholars in the field of education, culture, arts, public-political sciences, and etc. invited from neighboring and distant foreign countries.

Other topical issues of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Russia were discussed and common ground was reached on issues of mutual interest during the meeting of the chiefs of administrations. The two sides also discussed the details of formulating mutually beneficial activities, from the vantage point of mutual and common interests on bilateral and multilateral issues between the two states in social-political, economic, cultural, information and other fields.
