President Ilham Aliyev has received Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Italy Marta Dassu and Deputy Economic Development Minister of this country Claudio De Vincenti.

The sides expressed their satisfaction with the development of relations between Azerbaijan and Italy in the political, economic and cultural spheres within the framework of mutual respect and interests, noted the importance of the visit in terms of the discussion of further plans on expanding bilateral relations, and exchanged views on issues relating to the prospects of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Italy, and between Azerbaijan and the European Union.
