President Ilham Aliyev has received Georgian Prime Minister Vano Merabishvili.

The President congratulated Vano Merabishvili on his appointment as Prime Minister and wished him every success in his activities. President Ilham Aliyev said Vano Merabishvili’s visit to Azerbaijan would provide a good opportunity to discuss a further development of bilateral relations in all directions, including political, economic, etc.

Vano Merabishvili expressed his satisfaction with the fact that he was paying his first foreign visit as Prime Minister to Azerbaijan.

The sides exchanged views on issues related to the enhancement of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia in various spheres.
