The reconstruction of the old Jalilabad poultry farm, which consists of old buildings and covers an area of 45 hectares, will help meet the growing demand for local products. A total of 5 million manats was spent on the reconstruction. The National Fund on Entrepreneurship Support allocated a soft loan of 2 million manats for this purpose.

The President of Azerbaijan commissioned a new feed section of the “Jalilabad Broiler” OJSC, watched a film describing the process at the feed plant.

The company employs 220 people.

It was noted that the launch of the Jalilabad poultry farm and indeed many other industrial enterprises is associated with the name of great leader Heydar Aliyev. The construction of the plant began in 1967, but was suspended in 1968. After nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev came to political power in 1969, the construction process was accelerated. In 1972, the great leader examined the construction on the ground. Finally, in May 1976, the Jalilabad poultry farm was opened with the participation of the great leader.

It was mentioned that the capacity of the plant, reconstructed in accordance with the state program, is 6,000 tons of poultry meat a year. The launch of the enterprise will help increase poultry production in the country, produce import substituting goods and supply the domestic market with quality products. Twenty-eight out of 34 poultry farms of the enterprise, each of which covers an area of 1,512 square meters, have been reconstructed. The enterprise was rebuilt using mostly Turkish technologies. The poultry farms are fitted with feeding and ventilation equipment of the Turkish company TAVSAN and Iranian Pars. The company’s slaughterhouse was renovated by local company ASENA using Turkish technologies. A total of 2,500 head of poultry are slaughtered every hour. The new incubating shop is equipped with two incubators each with a capacity of 177,000 eggs. The one-day chicks produced here are intended to meet the domestic needs of the enterprise. The company also has a feed shop, refrigerators and a shock camera.

The head of state reviewed the stand describing the existing and future poultry farms in the country.

It was noted that there are 43 poultry farms in the country. A soft loan in the amount of 55 million manats was allocated for the construction of 30 poultry farms. Of these, 10 have already been put into operation, while the remaining 20 are scheduled for opening later this year. Based on the studies carried out, the country will produce an additional 11,200 tons of poultry meat.
