Ilham Aliyev accepted the credentials of the newly-appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Bulgaria to Azerbaijan

President Ilham Aliyev has accepted the credentials of the newly-appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to Azerbaijan, Maya Hristova.

The Ambassador reviewed the guard of honor.

Then Ambassador Maya Hristova presented her credentials to President Ilham Aliyev.

President Ilham Aliyev had a discussion with the Ambassador.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Maya Hristova passed on greetings on behalf of President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rosen Plevneliev and Prime Minister Boyko Borisov to President Ilham Aliyev. She said she was honoured to start her diplomatic activity in our country. Mrs. Maya Hristova invited President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on behalf of President of Bulgaria to visit their country.

President Ilham Aliyev noted the successful development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria, and also said there was a big potential for the further cooperation in the future.

The sides noted that there is a good basis for the further development of our relations in energy, infrastructure and other areas.

President Ilham Aliyev expressed his gratitude for the greetings from President Rosen Plevneliev and Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and asked the Ambassador to communicate his greetings to the President and Prime Minister of Bulgaria.
