Presidents of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan visited the State Flag Square and the Heydar Aliyev Center

President Ilham Aliyev and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islamic Karimov who is paying an official visit to Azerbaijan have visited the State Flag Square. 

Then the heads of state arrived at the Heydar Aliyev Center. President Ilham Aliyev informed the President of Uzbekistan about the Heydar Aliyev Center, which is considered one of the unique masterpieces of world architecture. It was noted that the Centre, the foundation of which was laid in 2007, was opened on the birthday of the great leader – 10 May this year. The Center covers an area of 16 hectares. The area has been extensively landscaped and trees planted around it. This cultural center has been designed by renowned architect Zaha Hadid. The Center, which fully reflects modern trends and is noted for its multi-functionality, is already included in the list of masterpieces of world architecture.

President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov was informed that the Heydar Aliyev Center, which is of great importance from the standpoint of promoting the inexhaustible heritage of the great leader, has all the conditions for hosting official receptions, various international conferences, meetings, cultural and other activities. It was noted that since being opened, the Center has hosted a number of high-profile events, including international.

Familiarization with the Heydar Aliyev Center impressed the distinguished guest very much.
