Ilham Aliyev accepted the credentials of a newly-appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Azerbaijan

President Ilham Aliyev has accepted the credentials of a newly-appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Azerbaijan, Tarek Housni Ahmed Abou Sena.

The Ambassador reviewed the guard of honor.

Ambassador Tarek Housni Ahmed Abou Sena presented his credentials to President Ilham Aliyev.

Then the President of Azerbaijan had a discussion with the Ambassador.

President Ilham Aliyev noted the Arab Republic of Egypt had an ancient history and rich culture and said there is a big potential for the development of relations between the countries. The head of state also said there was a tradition of historical friendship between the two nations; he also noted the importance of development of political, economic and other bilateral relations and wished success to the Egyptian diplomat in this activity.

The Ambassador of Egypt to Azerbaijan Tarek Housni Ahmed Abou Sena stressed the interest of his country in the development of bilateral relations with Azerbaijan and said he will bring his efforts to the further strengthening of the cooperation.
