Ilham Aliyev accepted the credentials of a newly-appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Azerbaijan

President Ilham Aliyev has accepted the credentials of a newly-appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Azerbaijan, Mohsun Pak Ain.

The Ambassador reviewed the guard of honor.

Ambassador Mohsun Pak Ain presented his credentials to President Ilham Aliyev.

Then the President of Azerbaijan had a discussion with the Ambassador.

The head of state stressed the development of relations between Azerbaijan and Iran and expressed his confidence in the successful development of cooperation in the future. President Ilham Aliyev emphasized the significance of Economic Cooperation Organization Summit and the importance of participation of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mahmoud Ahmadinejad at this summit. The head of state noted that the bilateral relatilons between the countries were many-sided covering different areas and expressed his confidence in the future contribution of diplomatic activity of Mohsun Pak Ain to the development of bilateral relations.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Azerbaijan Mohsun Pak Ain delivered the greetings of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to the head of Azerbaijan. Mohsun Pak Ain also said: "There was an important role of the national leader Heydar Aliyev to the building of friendly relations between Azerbaijan and the Islamic Republic of Iran". Ambassador wished success and prosperity to President Ilham Aliyev and said he will bring his efforts to the further strengthening of bilateral relations during his diplomatic activity.

The head of state expressed his gratitude for the greetings from President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and asked to deliver his greetings to the President of Iran as well.
