Ilham Aliyev accepted the credentials from the newly-appointed Ambassador of the Philippines to Azerbaijan

President Ilham Aliyev has accepted the credentials from the newly-appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Philippines to Azerbaijan Marilyn Jusayan Alarilla.

The Ambassador reviewed the guard of honor.

Ambassador Marilyn Jusayan Alarilla presented her credentials to President Ilham Aliyev.

Then the President had a discussion with the Ambassador.

Ambassador Marilyn Jusayan Alarilla conveyed greetings on behalf of President of the Republic of the Philippines Benigno Aquino III and congratulations on the rapid economic development ongoing in Azerbaijan. The diplomat said her country was interested in developing the relations with Azerbaijan, including those in the areas of energy, science and technology.

The President said there were good opportunities for developing the relations between the two countries, including economic ties, and stressed the importance of cooperation within the framework of international organizations, including the UN. President Ilham Aliyev said that in order to establish a strong economic partnership between the two countries it was necessary to examine mutual investment opportunities and identify areas of potential cooperation.

The President expressed his gratitude the diplomat for the greetings from President of the Republic of the Philippines Benigno Aquino III and asked the diplomat to communicate his greetings to the President of the Republic of the Philippines.
