Ilham Aliyev accepted the credentials from the newly-appointed Ambassador of Ecuador to Azerbaijan

President Ilham Aliyev has accepted the credentials from the newly-appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Ecuador to Azerbaijan Patricio Alberto Chavez Zavala.

The Ambassador reviewed the guard of honor.

Ambassador John Holmes presented his credentials to President Ilham Aliyev.

Then the President had a discussion with the Ambassador.

Patricio Alberto Chavez Zavala conveyed greetings on behalf of President of the Republic of Ecuador Rafael Correa. He said his country was interested in developing bilateral relations with Azerbaijan at a high level, expanding cooperation within the framework of international organizations and expressed hope that our relationship would continue to flourish in the future.

The President expressed hope that the diplomatic activity of Patricio Alberto Chavez Zavala in Azerbaijan would serve to bring the two countries closer together.

The head of state said there were good opportunities for expanding the active cooperation between Azerbaijan and Ecuador in international organizations. President Aliyev also noted the importance of developing economic relations between the two countries.

The President expressed his gratitude for the greetings from President of the Republic of Ecuador Rafael Correa and asked the diplomat to convey his greetings to the President of Ecuador.
