Ilham Aliyev received the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands

Ilham Aliyev received the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Netherlands to Azerbaijan, Arjen Peter Uijterlinde.

The Ambassador passed along the guard of honor.

Arjen Peter Uijterlinde presented his credentials to President Ilham Aliyev.

Then President of Azerbaijan talked with the ambassador. 

The head of state expressed hope that the bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the Netherlands would continue to develop successfully during the diplomatic activity of Ambassador Arjen Peter Uijterlinde in Azerbaijan. President Ilham Aliyev said Azerbaijan was interested in the development of relations with the Kingdom of the Netherlands, adding that there was a good potential for it. Underlining the importance of the full activity of the diplomatic representations in both countries, the head of state said the business community was also very interested in bilateral projects. Having emphasized that the EU-Azerbaijan relations are components of bilateral ties, President Ilham Aliyev expressed his confidence that the relations would cover a number of spheres.

Ambassador Arjen Peter Uijterlinde conveyed the greetings of the Queen of the Netherlands, Her Majesty Beatrix to the President. Arjen Peter Uijterlinde said progress had been recently observed in the bilateral relations and the number of mutual visits increased.

The President expressed his gratitude for the greetings of the Queen of the Netherlands, Her Majesty Beatrix, and asked to deliver his best wishes to the Queen and to the leaders of the country as well.
