Ilham Aliyev accepted the credentials from the newly-appointed Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Azerbaijan

President Ilham Aliyev has accepted the credentials from the newly-appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and

Plenipotentiary of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Azerbaijan, Damir Dzanko.

The Ambassador reviewed the guard of honor.

Ambassador Damir Dzanko presented his credentials to President Ilham Aliyev.

Then the President had a discussion with the Ambassador.

Recalling with satisfaction the successful visit of the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bakir Izetbegovic, to Azerbaijan, the President of Azerbaijan noted that important issues of bilateral relations were discussed during the visit. President Aliyev said there was great potential for the expansion of ties between the two countries in various areas, including energy, transport, infrastructure, investment, tourism and other areas. The President wished the Ambassador success in his work.

Ambassador Damir Dzanko conveyed greetings on behalf of the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bakir Izetbegovic. He stressed the importance of the historic visit of the head of his country to Azerbaijan for the development of relations between Azerbaijan and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Noting the existence of good opportunities for the expansion of cooperation between the two countries in various fields, Damir Dzanko said he would make every effort in this direction during his diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan.

The head of state expressed his gratitude for the greetings from Bakir Izetbegovic and asked the diplomat to communicate his greetings to the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
