Ilham Aliyev accepted the credentials of a newly appointed Ambassador of Tajikistan to Azerbaijan

President Ilham Aliyev has accepted the credentials of a newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to Azerbaijan, Zohir Saidov.

The Ambassador reviewed the guard of honor.

Diplomat Zohir Saidov presented his credentials to President Ilham Aliyev.

Then President Ilham Aliyev had a discussion with the Ambassador.

The head of state pointed to the good level of bilateral relations between our countries. Recalling with satisfaction the visit to Azerbaijan by President of Tajikistan Emomalii Rahmon, President Ilham Aliyev noted the importance of the issues of expanding cooperation in various areas, including the economy, discussed during the visit and described it as an indicator of friendship between the two countries. The President expressed his hope for a further strengthening of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Tajikistan both bilaterally and within international organizations. President Aliyev wished the Ambassador every success in his work.

The newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to Azerbaijan Zohir Saidov conveyed greetings and best wishes on behalf of President Emomalii Rahmon to President Ilham Aliyev. Emphasizing the dynamic development of bilateral relations, the Ambassador noted the presence of great opportunities for expanding cooperation in various fields. The Tajik diplomat said he would spare no effort to further strengthen the ties between the two countries.
President Ilham Aliyev expressed his gratitude for the greetings from President Emomalii Rahmon and asked the Ambassador to communicate his greetings to the President of Tajikistan.
