Ilham Aliyev accepted the credentials of the newly-appointed Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has accepted the credentials of the newly-appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan, Amangeldy Zhumabayev.

The Ambassador reviewed the guard of honor.

Amangeldy Zhumabayev presented his credentials to President Ilham Aliyev.

Then the President had a discussion with the Ambassador.

Ambassador Amangeldy Zhumabayev conveyed greetings on behalf of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev to the President of Azerbaijan. Emphasizing that the President of his country attaches tremendous importance to the further development of bilateral relations with Azerbaijan, the Kazakh diplomat expressed his assurances that he would do everything in his power to further strengthen these relations.

Pointing to the dynamic development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, President Ilham Aliyev said that the two countries were close neighbors, friends and partners. Recalling with satisfaction his meetings with President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, the President of Azerbaijan stressed the importance of high-level reciprocal visits for the expansion of ties. Noting the successful development of bilateral cooperation in various areas in recent years, including political, economic, energy, transportation, education, agriculture and other spheres, President Ilham Aliyev said that Azerbaijan attaches great importance to a further expansion of cooperation with Kazakhstan.

The head of state expressed his gratitude for the greetings from President Nursultan Nazarbayev asked the Ambassador to convey his greetings to the President of Kazakhstan.
