President Ilham Aliyev has reviewed the recreation complex on the banks of the River Kura in Mingachevir after its reconstruction.
It was indicated that on the instructions of the head of state consistent measures have been continued in recent years to rebuild parks and tourist sites in the districts and establish new recreation areas meeting appropriate modern standards for local residents and visitors of Azerbaijani districts.
It was noted that a recreation center used to be located in this area, but it had become completely unusable in recent years.
The area of the new coastal recreational complex is 1.5 hectares. The reconstruction was started here at the beginning of this year. The complex has all the facilities for the recreation of residents and visitors of the city – there are modern gazebos, a volleyball court and a variety of attractions for children.
It was reported that there were special safety zones for adults and children on the water. The complex has special rescue teams of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
There is a separate car park for vacationers and a modern lighting system on the premises. Extensive landscaping work has been carried out around the complex. After the start of the summer season travelers will be offered numerous entertainment services of high level.
The President was informed that modern catering facilities would also be built in the complex in the future. Thus, the complex, situated on the banks of the River Kura, would be a popular travel destination in the summer.
Then, President Ilham Aliyev reviewed the stands reflecting the design of buildings for the High Risk Rescue Service, the regiment of Civil Defense forces and the State Water Resources Agency of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Mingachevir.
The head of state gave instructions on completing the work at the highest level of quality.
