Ilham Aliyev received the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador of Germany to Azerbaijan

President Ilham Aliyev received the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Azerbaijan, Herbert Quelle.

The Ambassador passed along the guard of honor. 

Ambassador Herbert Quelle presented his credentials to President Ilham Aliyev.

Then, Azerbaijani President talked with the Ambassador. 

The President highlighted the successful development of the longstanding bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Germany in various fields. Saying Azerbaijan attached great importance to cooperation with Germany, President Ilham Aliyev added that great opportunities existed for further strengthening of current relations between the two states. Having wished success to the Ambassador in his work, the President expressed his hope for further expansion of relations during the Ambassador’s diplomatic activities in Azerbaijan.

Herbert Quelle said his country also attached great importance to development of relations with Azerbaijan in various fields, including energy cooperation. The ambassador underlined that he would spare no efforts to further deepen and accelerate the bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Germany during his diplomatic activities.
