President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has reviewed the Flag Square in a park in the Gobustan district center.

Respect for and love of state symbols in the country are among the biggest assets bequeathed by great leader Heydar Aliyev to the Azerbaijani people. The attributes of independence are a source of pride for every citizen of Azerbaijan. This feeling has been behind the establishment of a magnificent Flag Square in Baku on the decision of President Ilham Aliyev. The tricolor flag of Azerbaijan now flies in all districts of the country. The Flag Square established in the Gobustan district center is also one of the most popular places for local residents.

It was indicated that the square covers an area of two hectares and the height of the flagpole is 50 meters. The flag proper is 10 meters wide and 20 meters long. Set up in a period of six months, the Flag Square has been extensively landscaped.

Praising the work done, the President gave relevant instructions and recommendations.
