Ilham Aliyev accepted the credentials of the newly-appointed Ambassador of Pakistan to Azerbaijan

President Ilham Aliyev has accepted the credentials of the newly-appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Azerbaijan, Ikramullah Mehsud.

Ambassador Ikramullah Mehsud reviewed the guard of honor.

Ikramullah Mehsud presented his credentials to President Ilham Aliyev.

Then the President of Azerbaijan had a discussion with the Ambassador.

The President stressed that bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan were developing successfully. Pointing to a high level of cooperation in various fields, President Ilham Aliyev stressed the need for stepping up efforts to expand cooperation in all sectors of the economy. The head of state recalled with satisfaction the participation of President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari in the summit of the Organization for Economic Cooperation held in Baku and the discussions relating to the development of cooperation. Noting the importance of constant mutual support between the two countries in international organizations, President Ilham Aliyev expressed his hope that strong partnerships between the two countries would be continued.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ikramullah Mehsud conveyed greetings on behalf of President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari to President Ilham Aliyev. He expressed his assurances that he would make every effort to expand bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields.

The head of state expressed his gratitude for the greetings of President Asif Ali Zardari and asked the Ambassador to convey his greetings to the head of the Pakistani state.
