Ilham Aliyev reviewed the Flag Square in Shirvan

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has reviewed the Flag Square in the city of Shirvan.

As in most regions of Azerbaijan, the recently established Flag Square and the state flag erected in Shirvan attract attention with their grandeur. The Flag Square is located in Heydar Aliyev Avenue, at the entrance to the city of Shirvan. The total area of the square of 1.3 hectares and the height of the flagpole is 76 meters. On the pedestal faced with natural marble, there is an engraved map of Azerbaijan, words of the national anthem and the national coat of arms.

It was noted that elements of Azerbaijani architecture were wide used in the construction of the square. The Flag Square has been landscaped. About 6,000 trees, various flowers and ornamental shrubs have been planted here. A lawn has been established on an area of 5,000 square meters, marble slabs have been laid, benches and a modern lighting system installed. The Flag Square in Shirvan has all the conditions for the recreation of the local people.

The President praised the work done in the Flag Square.
