Ilham Aliyev received the credentials of the newly-appointed ambassador of Jordan

President Ilham Aliyev has received the credentials of a newly-appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to Azerbaijan, Adel Mohammad Adaileh.

The ambassador was greeted by the guard of honor.

Ambassador Adel Mohammad Adaileh submitted his credentials to President Ilham Aliyev.

Then the President of Azerbaijan spoke to the ambassador.

The President stressed that relations between the two countries were developing successfully and dynamically. Remembering his recent meeting at the UN with Jordan's King Abdullah II, President Ilham Aliyev noted with a sense of satisfaction that such meetings take place regularly. Pointing to a very good level of relations between the two countries in the political sphere, President Ilham Aliyev said that both parties are showing a strong will to develop economic cooperation. Speaking about work on joint projects, the President expressed confidence that they will be implemented and cooperation continued successfully.

Ambassador Adel Mohammad Adaileh communicated the greetings and best wishes of King Abdullah II to the head of state and the people of Azerbaijan. Noting that relations in the political sphere are at the highest level, he stressed that there was much to be done to enhance trade and economic cooperation. Stating that a regular meeting of the Jordanian-Azerbaijani intergovernmental commission would be held in Baku at the end of the year, the diplomat said that Jordan's King had issued instructions to him to further strengthen bilateral ties.

The President of Azerbaijan expressed his gratitude for the greetings of Jordan’s King Abdullah II and asked the ambassador to communicate his best wishes to the head of the Jordanian state.
