President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received the credentials of a newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Azerbaijan, Heidrun Tempel.

The Ambassador reviewed the guard of honor.

Ambassador Heidrun Tempel presented her credentials to President Ilham Aliyev.

Then the President of Azerbaijan had a discussion with the Ambassador.

Extending her compliments to the head of state on the occasion of Ramadan, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to Azerbaijan, Heidrun Tempel, expressed her best wishes to President Ilham Aliyev and the people of Azerbaijan. The diplomat pledged to make every effort to further enhance bilateral relations between Germany and Azerbaijan in all directions during her diplomatic mission in our country.

The head of state pointed to a high level of bilateral relations between the two countries. Noting that Azerbaijan and Germany have actively cooperated for many years, President Ilham Aliyev said there was a mutual interest in expanding this cooperation in various fields, including the economic sphere. Speaking about the great potential for the development of bilateral relations, the President expressed his confidence that Heidrun Tempel would make a contribution to strengthening them further.

The sides exchanged views on cooperation within the European Union, the Southern Corridor, the non-oil sector, the field of investment, etc.
