Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of a new bus station in Ismayilli

A new bus station has been commissioned in Ismayilli.

The opening of the bus station was attended by President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

The head of state cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the bus station and reviewed the terminal.

It was noted that the construction of the bus station had begun in March 2013. Its total area is 0.26 hectares, while the construction covers an area of 282 square meters. Four platforms for a total of 48 people have been built for the comfort of commuters. Installed on the platforms are electronic information displays showing the schedule of buses. In addition, there is a waiting area covering 137 square meters, catering facilities and a medical center. Outside the bus station there are open areas for the maintenance of buses.

It was noted that the bus station will serve passengers traveling to the city of Baku, as well as Shamakhi, Gabala, Oguz, Shaki, Gakh, Zagatala and Balakan. A total of 22 people have been provided with jobs at the bus station.

The head of state also reviewed the new taxis and buses.

President Ilham Aliyev praised the work done at the bus station.
