Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of a conference center at the El Resort Hotel in Gakh

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has attended the opening of a conference center at the El Resort Hotel in Gakh.

The head of state cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the conference center.

Special attention has been paid to the development of tourism in the country in recent years. Along with Baku, the construction of modern tourist facilities has become widespread in the regions as well. The development of the tourism potential in Gakh District is also in the spotlight. From this point of view, the El Resort Hotel, put into operation in a ceremony attended by President Ilham Aliyev on 16 November 2011, is of great importance.

It was indicated that the construction of the conference center had begun in 2011. The center has a modern design and covers an area of over 3,000 square meters. The large hall without columns on the first floor covers an area of 1,080 square meters and can accommodate 900 guests. The hall has four large screens and projectors. The large room is also fitted with cutting-edge equipment.

The equipment installed in the kitchen of the conference center was produced by Italian company Zanussi.

The halls on the second floor of the center are also fully suited for the provision of services at a high level. All the rooms are fitted with the most advanced mobile audio and video equipment. The center has a garage for 100 cars.

After reviewing the conference center, President Ilham Aliyev also examined the layout and photo stands of the northern building of the El Resort Hotel.

It was noted that the construction of the five-storey building had begun in November 2012. There are plans to complete the work at the end of 2013. The total area of the complex is 2.7 hectares, while the construction area is around 2,000 square meters. The first floor of the northern block will operate a bowling center, a bar, a café with 120 seats and a 240-seat restaurant. The hotel will have 82 rooms. The new complex will provide employment to 60 people.

After reviewing the progress of construction, President Ilham Aliyev gave relevant instructions.
