Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of a Youth Center in Agjabadi

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has attended the opening of a Youth Center in Agjabadi.

The head of state cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the Youth Center and reviewed the building.

The President of Azerbaijan was informed that the construction of the Center had begun in July of last year and was completed in August of this year. The Youth Center is one of the most beautiful buildings in the city. Its total area is 3,000 square meters.

There is a photo section in the lobby of the Center describing the various aspects of the public and political activities of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev, as well as their meetings with young people.

The main objectives behind the establishment of the Center have been to promote the knowledge of science and technology, expand young people’s scientific and creative initiative and identify talented individuals. There is an Internet room here. All computers are connected to the World Wide Web. The center also plans to organize special courses on computer knowledge and foreign languages. There are meeting rooms and a conference hall, a shooting gallery, a 3D cinema, a language lab and a digital library. The disco-bar is equipped with state-of-the-art sound system.

On the first floor of the building there is a games room. It has a variety of slot machines, a four-lane bowling alley and a "Labyrinth" playground for kids. There is a youth café on the second floor.

It was indicated that the electronic library contains books describing the political activity of great leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev, as well as books for children and other spheres. The Center will play an important part in the efficient organization of young people’s leisure and enhancing their public engagement.

After reviewing the Youth Center, President Ilham Aliyev gave further instructions and recommendations.
