Noting that bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Belgium were at a good level, the President expressed his hope for their successful development in the future. Indicating that the economic cooperation between the two countries was yielding fruit, President Ilham Aliyev pointed to the importance of the successful operation of certain Belgian companies in Azerbaijan. After highlighting the great opportunities for a further development of relations between Azerbaijan and Belgium in political and economic spheres, the President expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation between the two countries within the European Union.
Ambassador Carine Petit said that His Majesty the King of the Belgians Philippe has pleasant recollections of his meeting with the President of Azerbaijan as a prince. The diplomat noted the importance of the fact that the relations between the two countries are at a high level.
The sides exchanged views on ways of expanding bilateral relations in political, economic and commercial areas, the non-oil sector, the fields of investment, education, health, tourism, agriculture, etc.
