Ilham Aliyev accepted the credentials of the Ambassador of Greece to Azerbaijan

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyevhas accepted the credentials of the Ambassador of Greece to Azerbaijan, Dimitrios Tsoungas.

Ambassador Dimitrios Tsoungas reviewed the guard of honor.

Dimitrios Tsoungas handed his credentials to President Ilham Aliyev.

Then, President Ilham Aliyev had a discussion with the Ambassador.

Dimitrios Tsoungas said that President of the Hellenic Republic KarolosPapoulias had warm recollections of his successful visit to Azerbaijan. Pointing to the great potential for the expansion of ties, the diplomat said that he would spare no effort to strengthen the cooperation between the two countries.

The President noted that bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Greece are developing successfully.President Ilham Aliyev recalled with satisfaction the successful visit of the President of the Hellenic Republic, Karolos Papoulias,to Azerbaijan. The President expressed his confidence that bilateral relations between the two countries in the economic, political and energy sectors, as well as the areas of education, culture, etc., would continue to strengthen.
