As part of a visit to the southern region of the country, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has arrived in Salyan District.
First, the President laid flowers at the statue of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev in the center of Salyan.
The head of the Salyan District Executive Authority, Tahir Karimov, said that the reconstruction of the Heydar Aliyev Park had begun in 2011. The park, which covers a total area of 22,000 square meters, has a majestic statue of the great leader. The author of the statue is People's Artist of Azerbaijanand honorary member of the Russian Academy of Arts, Professor Natig Aliyev.
It was noted that an area of 10,000 square meters has been landscaped, two fountains set up, a new lighting system and benches installed, granite slabs and asphalt laid, and a water tank built in the park.
