Ilham Aliyev reviewed the Flag Square in Salyan

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has reviewed the Flag Square in Salyan.

The President was informed that the construction of the Flag Square had started in June of this year and was completed in August. The Flag Square, covering an area of 2.1 hectares, is located at the entrance to Salyan city, in National Hero Nazim Babayev Street. There is an arch 5.3 meters high and 14 meters long at the entrance to the square. The height of the flagpole is 42 meters, while the flag proper is 10 meters wide and 20 meters long.

There is also a park in the square.

The President of Azerbaijan took a walk around the park.

It was noted that a water canal of 236 meters long and 7 meters wide was built in the square as well. Over the canal, there are two bridges 11 meters long and 3 meters wide, and 17 fountains, one of which has an eight-pointed shape. The square has been extensively landscaped, a modern lighting system, decorative railings and benches installed. The park has entertainment facilities for children.

After reviewing the square, the President of Azerbaijan gave relevant instructions.
