President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has attended the opening of the Garazanjir-Garakazimli-Bayhanli road inJalilabad.
The head of state reviewed the stands describing the progress of construction and technical parameters of the road.
In accordance with a Decree signed by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on 28 September 2012, 2 million manatswere originally allocated from the Contingency Fund of the President for the construction of the Garazanjir-Garakazimli-Bayhanli road. The construction of the road began in October 2012. The road is 34 km long and 8 meters wide. During the construction of the road, which belongs to fourth technical category, particular attention was paid to communications. A total of 33 water drainageshave been built.
It was noted that due to the fact that the road passes through a landslide area in several places, the slopes 2-3 meters in height were cut and moved 10 meters away. The road connects 25 settlements. The commissioning of this road will provide more than 50,000people with the opportunity to use a modern transport infrastructure.
