Ilham Aliyev reviewed the new Heydar Aliyev Park in the Krasnaya Sloboda settlement of Guba

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has reviewed the new Heydar Aliyev Park in the Krasnaya Sloboda settlement of Guba.

It was noted that the Heydar Aliyev Park in Krasnaya Sloboda is evidence of the fact that the extensive landscaping and creative work under way in recent years covers all regions of the country. The establishment of such recreation facilities in the most remote villages of the country is instrumental in organizing people’s leisure. The successful social policy carried out by the government of Azerbaijan is bearing fruit in every region of the country.

There is a statue of nationwide leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev and a fountain in the center of the park. The park covers an area of 6,400 square meters. It has walking paths, green lanes and benches. There is also a special area with a variety of attractions for children. The park has a three-storey guest house, a cafe, a tea house and a club of the elders. The park is also equipped with a modern lighting system.

After reviewing the park, the President of Azerbaijan met with residents of Krasnaya Sloboda.

President Ilham Aliyev: Thank you very much. Thank you, I appreciate this. As you said, the successful development of Azerbaijan guarantees the unity between the people and the government. The countries where there is unity are developing. Where there is no unity, problems arise.

The successful development of Azerbaijan is already a reality. This, of course, is seen both by the country's population and the international community. In recent years, no other country has developed economically as much as Azerbaijan.

This economic development is measured not only by statistical data but also by the work being done. The development of Guba and Krasnaya Sloboda is obvious. All regions and districts are going through development. I can say that districts are even competing with each other.

Residents of districts want their districts, towns and villages to get even more beautiful and comfortable. So it is a healthy competition. As a result of this competition, Azerbaijan grows stronger, develops and strengthens, while representatives of all the ethnicities living in Azerbaijan are contributing to this overall development.

Mountain Jews have also done a lot to strengthen the Azerbaijani statehood through their effort, hard work and devotion to the Motherland. Our citizens living here and those who live in other countries but have not lost connection with this settlement are making a valuable contribution to the development of Azerbaijan. Every time I visit Guba I try to come here and meet with local residents. We try to fill in the gaps. Today we celebrated the implementation of a project on drinking water supply to Guba. Water from a clear mountain river will be supplied around the clock, including here. Gasification is also under way. Rural roads are built. In general, a great job is carried out here. I can see that the people of your settlement are improving it with great love and taste. These beautiful buildings are evidence of this development.

Residents of this settlement now live in different countries but do not forget about it. They come here and create such beautiful places.

Azerbaijan is home to all the peoples living here. Mountain Jews have lived here for centuries, and one of Azerbaijan’s advantages is this unity. As you know, Azerbaijan regularly hosts representative international events, humanitarian forums, forums on dialogue among civilizations, summits of representatives and leaders of world religions, etc.

Everyone agrees that things in this area are organized at the highest level in Azerbaijan.

I always say that this is our way of life. Of course, there is a deliberate public policy as well. But at the same time there is such atmosphere in society. Respect for each other, for customs, traditions, religion and lifestyle are strengthening our people, nation and the state. Therefore, every time I come here I see that things are going well. A diagnostic center has been built. Hotels are under construction and the number of tourists is on the increase.

I saw today that a beautiful youth center has been built. The main square of the city has acquired a beautiful appearance.
