Ilham Aliyev received the President of the Conference of European National Libraries and the Vice-President of the Assembly of Eurasian Libraries

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received the President of the Conference of European National Libraries, Bruno Racine, and the Vice-President of the Assembly of Eurasian Libraries, Gulisa Balabekova.

Stressing the importance of the fact that a regular meeting of the Conference of European National Libraries is being held in Azerbaijan, the President noted the importance of the participation of representatives from different countries around the world in this event. President Ilham Aliyev also expressed his confidence that the issues to be discussed at the conference would contribute to the expansion of international cooperation in the development of librarianship. The President voiced his hope that this visit would provide visitors with a good opportunity to familiarize themselves with Azerbaijan.

Expressing his satisfaction with the first visit to our country, the President of the Conference of European National Libraries, Bruno Racine, said that the National Library of Azerbaijan located in the center of Baku had made a deep impression on the delegation. Noting that the delegation would also attend the opening ceremony of the Third Baku International Book Fair and Exhibition, as well as the celebrations of the 90th anniversary of the National Library of Azerbaijan, the guest emphasized the importance of the fact that a regular meeting of the Conference of European National Libraries is being held in Baku.
