Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of the "Saglam gida" agro-industrial complex

The agro-industrial complex "Saglam gida" has been commissioned in Sumgayit. The opening ceremony of the complex was attended by President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

Minister of Economic Development Shahin Mustafayev said that this economic entity was a modern agro-industrial complex consisting of three large manufacturing and service enterprises and covering an area of 7 hectares in the industrial zone of Sumgayit. Such a major agro-industrial complex of national importance has been established using soft loans of the state. The establishment of such important economic facilities represents an important step towards provision of people with quality food. In addition, it is clear evidence of the attention being paid to private sector development in the country.

It was brought to the President’s attention that the complex includes a bakery, a granary, a flour mill complex, as well as a logistical center for storage, transportation and sale of food products.

In the lobby of the bakery there is a photo stand describing visits of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev to Sumgayit.

The head of state launched the enterprise.

It was noted that the National Fund on Entrepreneurship Support under the Ministry of Economic Development had allocated a soft loan of 10 million manats for the establishment of a bakery worth 28.9 million manats. The bakery has been built on the basis of the latest technology of a German company with extensive experience in this field. Its objective is to ensure food security and supply the population with quality bakery products.

The production process of the bakery with a capacity of 150 tons per day is fully automated. Each stage of production is monitored by a separate control system, which enables production in accordance with hygiene and quality standards. The use of new technologies helps reduce energy costs, which is particularly important in reducing the cost of production. This, in turn, enables the company to offer customers high-quality bakery products at low prices. The electronic monitoring and quality control system used at the bread baking line enables the staff to identify and immediately remove the bread that does not meet the standards at different stages of production. The factory operates four bread baking lines, one line for the production of various baked products and six ovens for special varieties of bread. Thus, the factory will produce 12 varieties of bread and 45 baked products.

The bread products will be packed and put up for sale under the brand name of "Chorekchi". To deliver the products to various locations in Sumgayit, Baku and districts of the republic, 40 special vehicles have been purchased.

President Ilham Aliyev was informed about the bread baking factories the construction of which was financed by concessional loans of the state. It was noted that the National Fund on Entrepreneurship Support had allocated 31.1 million manats in soft loans for the construction and equipment with the latest technology of 25 bakeries worth a total of 84.6 million manats and with a production capacity of 693 tons per day. Eighteen bakeries with a capacity of 610 tons per day and based on modern technology and equipment imported from Turkey, Germany, the Czech Republic and other countries have already been put into operation. The launch of such plants, based on the most advanced technology and equipment, helps provide consumers with high-quality bread and baked products.

Then, President Ilham Aliyev commissioned a granary and a flour mill complex that are also part of the agro-industrial complex. It was noted that the granary and the mill were based on the technology of a leading Turkish company. The National Fund on Entrepreneurship Support has allocated a soft loan of 6 million manats for the construction of the granary and the milling complex worth 10 million manats.

Six warehouses with a capacity of 4 tons each have been built for harvesting and storing grain products.

The cleaning and drying systems installed in the warehouse enable loss-free storage of grains for a long time. The fact that the complex has a granary plays an important part in creating a raw materials base. The granary provides for a continuous operation of the mill and the bakery. In contrast to traditional mills, the use of a dry cleaning system in this mill, which has a production capacity of 250 tons per day, enables production of flour of top, second and third grades in an even greater volume.

The President was informed that a logistical center had been established to deliver products manufactured within the country and abroad to consumers in accordance with customer requirements, without compromising the quality and with the option of long and secure storage. The National Fund on Entrepreneurship Support has allocated a soft loan of 5 million manats for the establishment of the logistical center worth 8 million manats. The center is based on modern storage, transportation and sale technologies. The center has a refrigerator with a capacity of 5,000 tons, dry storage facilities with a capacity of 4,000 tons, and a park for vehicles engaged in international transportation. The cold storage warehouse is equipped with the facilities manufactured by a well-known Italian company. The logistical center receives orders, registers products and is responsible for services such as warehousing, sorting, packaging, transportation, etc.

The use of a centralized management system helps provide customers with quality service in a short time. A total of 75 vehicles of different tonnage have been bought for cargo transportation.

Thus, the construction of this center will encourage local manufacturers to deliver their products to foreign markets with low costs and in a short time. It was also indicated that the development plan of the complex provides for the establishment of modern irrigation systems to provide the raw materials market and the establishment of various grain farms in different districts.

It was noted that the office and auxiliary buildings of the complex house offices for staff members, training and conference rooms, a canteen and other necessary facilities. The agro-industrial complex employs 600 people.
