Ilham Aliyev received a delegation led by the Deputy President of the Senate of Pakistan

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by the Deputy President of the Senate of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Sabir Ali Baloch. The delegation also included members of the Senate and the National Assembly of Pakistan.

The Deputy President of the Senate of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Sabir Ali Baloch, congratulated the head of state on a convincing victory in the presidential election on behalf of his delegation. Noting that the delegation had witnessed a free, democratic and transparent election in Azerbaijan, the Pakistani visitor praised the stability and tranquility existing in the country. Sabir Ali Baloch reaffirmed his country’s support for Azerbaijan's fair cause in the settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

The President expressed his satisfaction with the successful development of friendly and fraternal relations between Azerbaijan and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Stressing that Pakistan is one of the closest allies of Azerbaijan, the President expressed his confidence that the friendship and partnership between the two countries would continue to develop in the coming years. President Ilham Aliyev noted the importance of the support between the two countries in all international organizations.
