Ilham Aliyev received the Ambassador of Japan to Azerbaijan at the end of his diplomatic mission in the country

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Azerbaijan, Shusuke Watanabe, at the end of his diplomatic mission in the country.

Ambassador Shusuke Watanabe expressed his satisfaction with his diplomatic activity in Azerbaijan. He said that while working in the country he had got closely acquainted with Azerbaijan and was leaving it with good impressions. Shusuke Watanabe pointed to an extensive process of economic development observed in Azerbaijan in recent years. The Japanese diplomat also praised the work carried out in the country to preserve national customs and traditions.

The head of state expressed his gratitude to Ambassador Shusuke Watanabe for his contribution to the development of relations between Azerbaijan and Japan. Stressing that bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Japan were developing successfully, President Ilham Aliyev noted the importance of long-term activities of Japanese companies in the country. The head of state also expressed his hope that different Japanese companies would actively cooperate with Azerbaijan in new projects. President Ilham Aliyev expressed his confidence that the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Japan would continue to expand in the future.
