I am very pleased to congratulate you on your reelection as President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on behalf of the Los Angeles County Police Department. This election reflects the importance you attach to the development of civil society institutions and represents another step towards strengthening the construction of a democratic society in Azerbaijan. The election results are an indicator of your leadership and plans for the future.

We are working extensively with the Azerbaijani side to prepare for the World Police Symposium in Baku in 2015. Such events provide opportunities for the further development of our partnership. Azerbaijan, which has an important geopolitical location and possesses good experience in organizing international events, is a very appropriate venue for this symposium.
