Ilham Aliyev received a delegation led by the chairman of the Kyrgyz Parliament

President Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by the chairman of the Jogorku Kenesh (Parliament) of Kyrgyzstan, Asilbek Jeenbekov.

Chairman of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan Asilbek Jeenbekov conveyed greetings on behalf of President Almazbek Atambayev. He stressed the importance of the next meeting of the Council of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic Speaking Countries. Asilbek Jeenbekov noted with pleasure that the work was continuing to lay a park in memory of national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev in Kyrgyzstan.

During the meeting, the sides noted that the political relations between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan were at a high level. The parties said the countries were successfully cooperating in the UN, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States and other international organizations, and noted there were ample opportunities for expanding bilateral ties in economic, humanitarian and other fields.

During the conversation, the sides underlined the importance of the Summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States in Bodrum, expressing confidence that the next meeting of the Council of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic Speaking Countries in Baku would contribute to strengthening the relations even further.

The head of state expressed his gratitude for the greetings of President Almazbek Atambayev, and asked the chairman to convey his greetings to the President of Kyrgyzstan.
