President Ilham Aliyev received Chief of Turkish National Intelligence Organization, Hakan Fidan.

The President expressed his satisfaction with the decision of Hakan Fidan, Chief of Turkish National Intelligence Organization, to choose Azerbaijan as his first visit in his new position. President Ilham Aliyev said that relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan had been built on principles of friendship and brotherhood and expressed confidence in rapid development of relations in national intelligence field and in other spheres. The President noted the necessity of strengthening security measures in the region and said the development of Turkish-Azerbaijan relations would have a positive impact on the region as a whole.

Chief of Turkish National Intelligence Organization Hakan Fidan conveyed the greetings of Turkish President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan to the President. Saying that he felt honored to visit Azerbaijan in his new position, Hakan Fidan added that he had observed great changes and development in Baku and, therefore, was quite pleased.

The President expressed his gratitude for the greetings of Turkish President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and asked to deliver his greetings to the Turkish President and Prime Minister in return.
