President Ilham Aliyev took part in the opening of the “Khan bagi” park of culture and rest in Ganja, following its full restoration.

The reconstruction works, carried out with the funds allocated by the order of the President, has complete changed the look of the park. Such a large-scale reconstruction work has been carried out in the “Khan Bagi” park – one of the oldest parks of the Caucasus, which is over 300 years old, for the first time by the order of President Ilham Aliyev.

President Ilham Aliyev toured the park and familiarized himself with the works carried out in the surroundings. Trees and ornamental bushes, brought from various countries, have been planted in the park, with a general area of 7 hectares. Two fountains and a modern lighting system have been installed, the corner of Venice restored, and the 350-seat green theater rebuilt in the park. The monument to People’s Poet Nigar Rafibayli and the gravestone memorial to Soviet Hero Israfil Mammadov have been restored as well.

The President expressed his content with the capital reconstruction works carried out on a high level in the “Khan Bagi” Park.

Following the tour of the park, President Ilham Aliyev met with the representatives of city community.
