President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received rapporteur on Azerbaijan of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Committee on Legal Affairs and Human Rights Alain Destexhe.
The head of state said relations between Azerbaijan and the Council of Europe span more than 15 years. President Ilham Aliyev pointed out good cooperation between Azerbaijan ad European institutions. The head of state recalled his recent important and fruitful meetings in the European Union.
Measures to modernize Azerbaijan and strengthen democracy in the country, reforms, and work to diversify the economy were highlighted at the meeting.
