President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization Zurab Pololikashvili.
President Ilham Aliyev congratulated Zurab Pololikashvili on his election as Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization and wished him success in his activities. The head of state stressed Azerbaijan`s successful cooperation with the World Tourism Organization, adding that Zurab Pololikashvili`s visit to Azerbaijan will contribute to strengthening relations.
Saying he is proud to meet with the Azerbaijani President, Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization Zurab Pololikashvili thanked Azerbaijan for supporting the organization`s and his own activities.
Rapid development of tourism and increase in the number of tourists visiting Azerbaijan in recent years was hailed at the meeting. Large-scale work to create excellent infrastructure for the development of tourism in Baku and the regions was highlighted. The sides exchanged views over cooperation prospects.
