Ilham Aliyev received Chairman of Mazhilis of Kazakh Parliament

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Nurlan Nigmatulin.

Nurlan Nigmatulin extended first President of Kazakhstan-Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev’s and Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s greetings to President Ilham Aliyev. He expressed his sincere gratitude on behalf of the Kazakh people for awarding the first President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev the title of Honorary President of Turkic Council by a joint decision of the presidents of the member countries.

Nurlan Nigmatulin said that the ongoing big development processes in Baku made a deep impression on them.

President Ilham Aliyev thanked for Nursultan Nazarbayev’s and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s greetings and asked the chairman of the Parliament to extend his greetings to the first President of Kazakhstan-Elbasy and the Kazakh head of state.

The sides noted that personal friendship between the first President of Kazakhstan-Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev and Azerbaijan’s national leader Heydar Aliyev played a great role in the development of bilateral relations between the two countries’ peoples. President Ilham Aliyev’s contributions to the strengthening of bilateral ties were particularly underlined at the meeting.

The successful development of relations between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan in various fields, including in transport, energy and economic ones was hailed, the importance of meetings between the heads of state in terms of strengthening these ties was emphasized at the meeting.

It was also noted that Azerbaijan has a good investment climate and that the investment attractiveness of the country has been approved by international organizations.

The importance of interparliamentary ties was pointed out, and Kazakhstan’s high-level representation at the 9th Plenary Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic Speaking countries (TURKPA) was hailed at the meeting.

The sides noted that the event contributes to the development of bilateral relations.
