Ilham Aliyev accepted the credentials of a newly-appointed Ambassador of Cuba to Azerbaijan

President Ilham Aliyev has accepted the credentials of a newly-appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to Azerbaijan, Omar Senon Medina Quintero.

The Ambassador reviewed the guard of honor.

Ambassador Omar Senon Medina Quintero presented his credentials to President Ilham Aliyev.

Then the President of Azerbaijan had a discussion with the Ambassador.

Noting that bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Cuba are at a good level, the President stressed the need for their further expansion. Expressing his hope that the traditionally friendly relations between the two countries would continue to develop, President Aliyev noted the importance of active cooperation in economic and other spheres.

The newly-appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Azerbaijan, Omar Senon Medina Quintero, said that he was impressed with the tremendous development ongoing in our country. The Ambassador said that he would make every effort to strengthen the ties between Azerbaijan and Cuba.

The sides pointed to good opportunities for joint projects and cooperation in the field of investment, health, sports, energy, etc.
