Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on conducting the 90th birthday anniversary of Academician Zarifa Alieva

In April 2013, the outstanding Azerbaijani scientist, Doctor of Medicine, Professor, Honored Worker of Science and Fellow of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Zarifa Aziz gizi Aliyeva, would have turned 90.

Academician Zarifa Aliyeva, who has made a significant contribution to the development of medical science in our country, earned great fame for her solid research on the relevant problems of ophthalmology. Her academic, educational and public activities have had a strong influence on the upbringing of a new generation of physicians and on the development of ophthalmic science in Azerbaijan.

Governed by Clause 32 of Article 109 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan and in order to celebrate the 90th birthday anniversary of Academician Zarifa Aliyeva, who owns an invaluable contribution to the development of medical science in our country, I hereby resolve as follows:

1. To task the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan in cooperation with the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan with preparing and implementing a plan of activities on the celebration of the 90th birthday anniversary of Academician Zarifa Aliyeva.

2. To task the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan with resolving all the issues pertaining to the present Order.
