Ilham Aliyev accepted the credentials of the Ambassador of Sudan to Azerbaijan

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has accepted received the credentials of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Sudan to Azerbaijan, Mohammad Elias Mohammad al-Haq.

Ambassador Mohammad Elias Mohammad al-Haq reviewed the guard of honor.

Mohammad Elias Mohammad al-Haq presented his credentials to President Ilham Aliyev.

Then, President Ilham Aliyev had a discussion with the Ambassador.

The President expressed his confidence of the successful development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the Republic of Sudan. Pointing to a good level of political relations, President Ilham Aliyev said there were good opportunities for the development of cooperation in the economic, energy, agriculture, education, etc. Stressing the active cooperation of the two countries within the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and other international organizations, President noted the importance of expanding this interaction. The President expressed his hope that the Ambassador would contribute to the further strengthening of bilateral ties.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Mohammad Elias Mohammad al-Haq conveyed greetings on behalf of the President of the Republic of Sudan, Omar Hassan Ahmad al-Bashir. He said his country attached great importance to the expansion of ties with Azerbaijan. Mohammad Elias Mohammad al-Haq assured the President that he would make every effort to further strengthen bilateral relations during his diplomatic mission in our country.

The President expressed his gratitude for the greetings from President Omar Hassan Ahmad al-Bashir and asked the diplomat to convey his greetings to the head of Sudan.
